Understanding Shoulder Pain
What Causes Shoulder Pain?
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, which makes it easy to irritate. Rotator cuff strains, tendon irritation, bursitis, a stiff upper back or a neck problem referring pain into the shoulder are all common causes we see in McKenzie Lake.
Because the shoulder blade, neck and mid-back all contribute to shoulder movement, we assess the whole chain rather than just the painful spot.
Care may combine chiropractic adjustments for the neck and mid-back, registered massage for the rotator cuff, shockwave therapy for stubborn tendons, and athletic therapy to rebuild strength.
